As I walk onto the majestic golf course and glance down the sprawling par four with peaceful water to the right and manicured sand to the left I often ask myself, “Is this heaven?” Heaven maybe, but when I first began caddying a devil in the shape of a massive cherry red golf bag comes to mind.
I had just turned 14 when I started caddying and my golf experience consisted of hitting an orange ball through a windmill at the local putt putt. My first loop was on an early Saturday morning, my mom dropped me off into an empty parking lot while the sun was still fast asleep. I waited in line outside the caddy shack while dive bombing mosquitos attacked me at my most vulnerable spots. OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. (April 25, 2017) – Klára Spilková, the first-ever Czech Republic golfer to win a professional golf event, has accepted a special exemption to compete in the 2017 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, June 29 – July 2, at Olympia Fields (Illinois) Country Club.
Spilková, 22, who represented the Czech Republic in the 2016 Olympic Games, will be making her second consecutive appearance in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship after receiving an exemption last year. Spilková captured the Lalla Meryem Cup on April 16, in Morocco, edging out two-time major champion Suzann Pettersen by one stroke. Following this win, Spilková currently sits atop the Ladies European Tour’s Order of Merit and is in 10th place on the European Solheim Cup Qualification Ranking. Continue reading

The storm is coming, but Legends’ players kept on practicing after their rounds at Pete Dye Course.
FRENCH LICK, Ind. – Becky Iverson started fast, Juli Inkster finished strong and Trish Johnson’s consistency was critical. In the end they shared the lead after Saturday’s first round of The Legends Championship on the Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort.
Rounds started off both the Nos. 1 and 10 tees after afternoon rains entered the weather forecast and the last players putted out before the weather turned bad. Continue reading

We are just two months away from the first year of the Web.com Tour’s Rust-Oleum Championship to be held at the Ivanhoe Club.
What exactly is the Web.com Tour?
Many casual golf fans probably do not know that much about the Web.com Tour. First off, alumni of the tour include PGA Tour superstars Jim Furyk, Zack Johnson, Keegan Bradley, Brandt Snedeker and current world #1 and Masters favorite, Jason Day.
Right now much of Chicago has Cubs fever. To put in terms relative to baseball, the Web.com Tour is the AAA league of professional golf. Continue reading
