Located in the heart of the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Arlington Lakes Golf Club boasts a rich tradition of being the kind of golf course people love to call home. The Arlington Lakes Golf Club has undergone an extensive renovation and its new features and trends have re-awakened the 36-year old municipal golf course, which once served as a Nike Missile Base.

The NEW Arlington Lakes Golf Club’s, 90-acres course offers something for every golfer. The course features strategically placed, fescue edged bunkers that bring a natural look to the course. Living up to its name, water comes into play on nine of the holes. You will find its design will truly test your skills as a golfer.

Staff is moving and building a new practice putting green, which created space for a new cart staging area. This opened up the existing cart staging area to become an expanded outdoor terrace featuring a pergola with shade canopy for golfers to relax and have refreshments after their rounds.

A modern design scheme with upgraded finishes and paint throughout is just the beginning. The project also included the renovation of both the men’s and women’s restrooms on the first floor as part of the District’s accessibility transition plan. A fully stocked pro shop and snack bar are also available. By emphasizing dining and social spaces that enhance guest interaction, the Arlington Lakes team is reinventing the overall club experience. And the improvements will help pave the way for years of enjoyment at the club.

The facility also hosts many golf leagues of all varieties and has a comprehensive instruction program directed by PGA Professionals.

Owned and operated by the Arlington Heights Park District, the course is also home to the annual Arlington Amateur and is an outstanding location for your next outing or banquet. Call the ALGC today at 847-577-3030 and make us your home course.

The public is invited to check out the new course on July 1st at the grand re-opening event called The Course Awakens. Visit www.ahpd.org/algc to learn more about the Arlington Lakes Golf Club.
